WWA 10 th International Conference Accomplished in Kathmandu, Nepal

Recently, World Without Anger (WWA) and Global Peace Foundation (GPF) have jointly held the 10th International Conference on Emotional Intelligence and Management of Human Resources, Information Technology, Cooperatives, and Positive Mental Health for World Peace in the Pandemic-affected Era” at Kathmandu Business Campus, Banasthali, Kathmandu on 5-6, November, 2022. 

On the inaugural ceremony which was chaired by Dr. Dess Mardan Basnet, President, WWA and Er. Ram Rohan Pant, President, GPA Nepal. Prof. Dr. Shilu Manandhar Bajracharya, Vice-Chancellor, Nepal Open University was the Chief Guest of the 10th International Conference. Dr. Ashis Sen, Adjunct Professor HRM and OB, IIM Nagpur, India, Special Guest of the 10th WWA international Conference. The chief guest inaugurated the 10th International Conference by lighting the auspicious lamp while  Nepalese national anthem was song. Welcoming the guests and audiences by Prof. Dr. Arhan Sthapit, Chair, 10th International Conference, remarked that the conference has adopted relevant theme and expressed his pleasure to welcome scholars, academicians, and researchers from ten different countries in this conference: Australia, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, India, Kosovo (central Europe), Malaysia, Nepal, Romania, Thailand, United Kingdom, and the United States of America. 

During the inauguration ceremony, WWA International Journal Vol. 8 was released by the Chief Guest edited by Prof. Dr. Murari Prasad Regmi, Dr. Albin Wallace, UK and Dr. Antigonos Sochos and similarly  the abstract book of the 10th International Conference was released by all the dignitaries on the Dias. 

In this conference, the Dean of International Peace Prize (DOIPP), 2020 and 2021 were awarded to Dr. Ashis Sen, India and Dr. Laxman Shakya, Nepal respectively. 

Dr. Ashis Sen expressed in his deep appreciation saying that World Without Anger(WWA) would be a reality when people from different parts of the world deliberate on the subject, dialogue on it and create consensus on the need and significance to human progress. WWA’s effort in the direction is indeed commendable.  Similarly, Dr. Shakya stressed that peaceful world is the need of universe. WWA is advancing towards that direction. 

On the auspicious occasion of the 10th International Conference, WWA Visionary Achievement Award, 2020/2021 were awarded to Mr. Mukunda Raj Khanal, Chairman, Bachan Saving and Credit Co-operative Ltd. and in the same way, Mr. Dipendra Phuyal, Executive Member, Bachan Saving and Credit Co-operative Ltd. respectively.

 

WWA Volunteer Achievement Award, 2022 awarded to Mr. Shantideep Regmi, Managing Director, Pipalbot Monthly Magazine, Kathmandu, Nepal. 

Speaking as the chief guest Prof. Dr. Shilu Manandhar Bajracharya, Vice-Chancellor, Nepal Open University wished that the  10th international conference would be beneficial to national and international academia.

As a dignitary speaker Prof. Dr. Murari Prasad Regmi, Chief Advisor and Chief  Editor, WWA International Journal highlighted that extreme anger is very harmful to life. It causes heart attack, and instant death. Controlling anger with the proper seasoning and wisdom is must. 

Mr. Matt Perelstein, Co-founder, CEO and Chief Patron of WWA highlighted that everyone ought to help to make the world a more peaceful place. Besides, the mission and goal of WWA and EQ4Peace Worldwide Inc., USA is to bring peace to every country and every individual in the world. By creating inner peace interpersonal peace and social peace ultimately leading to global peace. 

Likewise, Dr. Mahomad Ali Khalid, Bangladesh and Prof. Dr. Usha Kiran Subba stressed the importance of mental health to create for inner peace and harmony. Thus, Mr. Manohar K. Bhattarai, Board of Chairman, Kathmandu Business Campus and Sambriddhi Education Foundation, Kathmandu expressed his happiness to joint conference with World Without Anger(WWA). 

Extending vote of thanks by Er. Ram Rohan Pant, President, Global Peace Foundation(GPF) Nepal and  Co-chairperson of inaugural ceremony of 10th International Conference, on behalf  of the conference, he expressed his gratuities to all the participants including EQ4Peace Worldwide Inc., USA – Partner, Co-organizer –  Kathmandu Business Campus, Nepal Open University, Pacific University, India, Bachan Saving and Credit Co-operative Ltd. – Supporter and sponsored of Critic Award,  Central Department of Psychology, Tribhuvan University – Endored by, Manjushree English Boarding School, Dhobhigat, Lalitpur – sponsored of Critic award, Gurkhas Finance Ltd. – sponsored of the Dean of Inernational Peace Prize(DOIPP), University of Malaya – Knowledge Partner, and National Co-operative Bank Ltd. – sponsored of Best Paper Award respectively. 

Delivering the concluding remarks by Dr. Dess Mardan Basnet, Founder/President, WWA and chairperson of the inaugural session said emotional intelligence education is becoming more popular in modern societies. This conference has contributed significant leadership on emotional intelligence and positive message in the Pandemic-affected Era. In this context, United Nations has already recognized EI/EQ as sustainable development goals(SDGs) in order to insure that all people on the planet enjoying peace and prosperity by 2030. The mission of the WWA is to meet the objectives and goals of the United Nations as mentioned here. 

During two days 10th WWA International Conference, 5-6, November, 2022 which  covered all together two planetary sessions, one panel discussion, 11 parallel technical sessions and over 59 research papers from 11 countries respectively.

The 10th International conference was concluded on 6th November, 2022 at Kathmandu Business Campus. The valedictory session was chaired by Dr. Laxman Shakya, Vice-President, and 10th WWA Int’l Coordination Committee. Mr. Suresh Dhimal, Treasurer, WWA giving welcoming the audiences remarked that he was highly pleased to inform that the 10th International Conference was a grand success.  Dr. Anup Shresthacharya, Faculty, Lumbini Buddhist University, Nepal and Dr. Mahomad Ali Khalid, Bangladesh  expressed their  satisfaction over the outcomes of the 10th International Conference. 

While distributing certificates to the participants, volunteers and paper presenters, the chief guest Mr. Adika Ratna Sekar, India expressed his heartfelt opinion saying that 10th International conference has brought positive vibration among the academia and society. Giving the Vote of thanks Mr. Naresh Prasad Shretha, Principal, Kathmandu Business Campus, and Group CEO, Samriddhi Education Foundation said he was proud to be hosting as the Co-organizer of the 10th WWA International Conference. Also appreciated all the cooperation provided by the participants and volunteers. It was not possible to make the conference grand success without their supports and involvement. Finally, Chairperson Dr. Shakya remarked that peace is the most important aim and objective of the human beings by conducting the conference. We can move towards achieving  global peace and harmony. 

The cultural program presented by the students of Samriddhi School and KBC was highly applauded by the national and international participants.
